Big Soapbox!!!

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!

Today on MSNBC, it was announced that our "beloved" president has won the Nobel Peace Prize! After I finished purging myself of my freshly eaten biscuits and gravy, a prompt rolling laugh at the expense of the Noble Prize voters and committee ensued. Hold on......sorry, I thought all the biscuits were up already.
Maybe it wasn't the announcement but H1N1.....

There is no more conspiracy theory to present. Now it has been proven we have a bunch of completely corrupt and self-serving people in power over all that was once good. Oh, and in case you did not know...by trying to solve the worlds problems by doing what is right and good by defeating those that would destroy conservative, righteous people and destroy a successful capitalist society we are now referred to as "UNILATERALISTS" (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33237202/ns/politics-white_house?GT1=43001, Article available on MSNBC: " 'Humbled' Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize" by NBC News and news services).
The last time I checked the nations that fit the unilateral definition were the former Iraq, North Korea, Iran, etc. etc. etc...

Dictionary:ni·lat·er·al·ism (yū'nə-lăt'ər-ə-lĭz'əm)
n.
A tendency of nations to conduct their foreign affairs individualistically, characterized by minimal consultation and involvement with other nations, even their allies.

unilateralist u'ni·lat'er·a·list adj. & n. (http://www.answers.com/unilateralism)

"The Nobel Committee lauded the change in global mood wrought by Obama's calls for peace and cooperation but recognized initiatives that have yet to bear fruit: reducing the world stock of nuclear arms, easing American conflicts with Muslim nations and strengthening the U.S. role in combating climate change." (" 'Humbled' Obama.." NBC News)

Here is the "change" in global mood: the US is now a weaker country. "They are more like everyone else. We can now take advantage of them. We no longer have to listen to their ideas about peace. We are now able to control our own territories in what ever fashion we please regardless of the cost to the people who live there. We can make up our own rules and belief systems. We can use whatever religious means to keep people confused. We can attack them, but they cannot attack us because we can say they are being bullies, never mind the billions of dollars they send to aid us in addition to all the humanitarian aid. We do not have to take into account the lives they spend to help us earn our freedom because either we are too cowardly to do it ourselves or they are so honorable they would fight the fight for us. Muslims may now be able to rid the world of these cursed Christians! We now have control of their money. They have removed their nuclear weapons and long range defense missiles so we can now create our own strike capable force (after all they cannot use theirs, but we can ours)." says any anti-American, terroristic, dictatorial, Godless, warmongering, power hungry, greedy, peace hating.....you get the picture.....person. Seriously, what conflicts do we have with Muslim countries that are not caused by that Muslim country? Why is our effort to help them live in peace and freedom wrong?

"You have to remember that the world has been in a pretty dangerous phase," Jagland said. "And anybody who can contribute to getting the world out of this situation deserves a Nobel Peace Prize." (" 'Humbled' Obama.." NBC News) At what point in time did the United States and President George W. Bush put the world "in a pretty dangerous phase"? How is he "getting the world out of this situation" by weakening our country? Our wonderful government full of mostly democrats and soft republicans have now put us in a position to become controlled by international law and the United Nations (see appointment of Sonia Sotomayor, international law advocate). They have strategically placed like minded individuals in places to produce the results they want to see, all the while, lying about their intent and intended outcomes to pursue a secret course for power and control. So long Star Spangled Banner, Pledge of Allegiance, God Bless America!, The Constitution of the United States of America, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, freedom, financial prosperity and security.....and the list goes on.

You don't believe me? You think I am a right wing nut job? It is time you read the up to date bills the predominantly democratic party has in place to vote on (you might even want to read the ones already passed too). Oh wait, you can't. So much for "transparency" ( " Memorandum For The Heads of Executive Departments and Agencies", http://www.whitehouse.gov/the_press_office/TransparencyandOpenGovernment/ )
we have been promised.

WE ARE A GODFEARING CHRISTIAN NATION. WE DO BELIEVE IN PEACE AND PROSPERITY. WE DO BELIEVE IN FREEDOM.

IT IS TIME TO STOP THE CORRUPTION AND ACTUALLY DO WHAT IS RIGHT.

I will leave you with one more shot across the bow....

Every dictionary that I have looked in for the definition of conservative says this: favoring traditional views or values; moderate or cautious; or wanting to maintain existing views, conditions, or institutions...

Each part of that describes what the majority of United States citizens want. All of our political creations and documents from our history provide that. That is what made us the great nation we have been, and it will be the only thing that maintains it.

We have seen the promise of Obama's "change" (national address-President Elect Barack Hussien Obama victory speech at Grant Park). Now let us return to the promise of peace, prosperity, and a hope in all that is good.

Well, it's a new day and a new entry...

I absolutely love homeschooling. My kids are wonderful. I love the fact that we can get to work, finish, and spend the rest of the day doing whatever. I know that I will never put them back into public school. I might consider a good Christian school, but not public! I love the freedom homeschooling offers, and the ability to monitor what they are learning. If you have never thought about it, I would suggest looking into it. Don't get me wrong, it does have its challenges. However, the rewards far outweigh those challenges.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist (yes, it is soapbox time), but I do not understand public school's thought processes. I learned today from a note in the backpack of one of my foster children that the state does not recommend that children sound out words as they are reading.....what? They seem to think it slows the flow of reading and the comprehension. I would surmise that reading words incorrectly might not slow the "flow", but it certainly destroys any level of comprehension. Therefore, we now have another nut job trying to change public curriculum because they think they can improve something that has already been proven to work. As I recall from when I was in elementary education in college, phonics is the proven method. At one time schools left phonics to pursue other methods and reading scores all the way around started dropping. New generation and a decade or so later and now we have the same problem beginning to occur. Seriously, let's actually learn from the past before we screw up again. All I know (get ready for the home school plug) is my fifth grader reads at 7th and 8th grade levels, my third grader is reading at 4th and 5th grade levels, and my first grader is now on track..now that I have retaught her how to read correctly. Yes, I have had to reteach her. I was beginning to think she had dislexia, but know she simply didn't know how to sound words out.

Now here is the conspiracy part....

I think I know why we seem to be failing in areas of social reform, education, blah, blah, blah:
The reason is this: We no longer accept God as our measuring stick. What does that mean? In our lives as Christians, we are filled with the desire to do what is the "acceptable will of God". That basically implies we should always do our best. I come to that conclusion by understanding that God is perfect. As someone who has accepted His grace and have Jesus in my heart, then I would want nothing less than to try to do His will. His will would be for me to live more like Jesus, and to try to die to sin on a daily basis. That would mean that some of the characteristics that seem to plague our socitey could be eliminated and growth and prosperity would once again exist (see these verses about those plagues of society: Galatians 5;19-21 ). If we only had men and women with wisdom and understanding that would employ the right ideas then our country would not have as many problems as we have today. If more individuals possessed ethical standards for working, relationships, money handling, etc., etc...you get the idea. More people would recieve the care, food, clothing, shelter, medical care, education, and outright compassion they desire if we would follow the principles God has given us (those same principles our founding fathers tried to install in our Constitution so many years ago). It is the same concept as someone trying to improve reading comprehension in an already proven useless way: We need to get back to God, His Word, and His Will instead of trying to improve it our way. Use the proven method. After that has taken place (and I believe it will) then we will see a return to prosperity and peace (see Joshua 1:8, II Chronicles 7:14). The only place that peace is threatened, if you can't already tell, is where we are near the proper place God wants us.

For those who seem to think Christianity is bad...let's look at the other side of what God tells us we should "think on": Galatians 5:22-23, Phillipians 4:8. I am pretty sure any person in their right mind could not argue against these verses. Since when is purity and goodness a bad thing?

So from a conspiracy standpoint...are we intentionally being "dumbed" down so we can more easily be manipulated and controlled by those in charge?

Oops! I have to grade papers now.....

I Cry, I Rejoice

The funny thing is, I was excited about blogging for the first time.....however those thought provoking ideas never came. I wonder if that is a reflection of me? Anyway....

It really breaks my heart to see the current landscape of the United States changing so rapidly. The politics of "I know more about what is good for you than you do" to "you can't think that way because it might make someone think about God, doing the right thing, or getting saved" seem to permeate our society. I think finally those of us that have a personal relationship with our creator can see first hand how the world wants control and is not willing to share with us. If you cannot tell already, even our current administration has already labeled those who might be "Christian" as a threat. This. from ones we elected to preserve our Christian heritage and living documents like the Constitution. is very disheartening.

In addition, we can see these "misled" individuals using media to an effective degree to reach all those people who have not made up their minds on what they believe. Even Hitler knew the power of media in the USA to influence our own citizens. Had he possessed a more favorable persona in our society, he would have used the current media to propagandize our country to his way of thinking. Starting to sound familiar?

Fact: There is a reason we have what is considered the greatest country in the world. It is simply because we have freedom to do what is right. And, our forefathers believed that righteousness would prevail in the face of any tyrant, dictator, evil, or religious zealotry.

A recent missionary to our church proclaimed the country his family was moving to was a "post Christian nation". Post Christian? Also, he acknowledged most children in that country believe that Jesus is a fairy tale.
That is and will be our country unless we act now. The Muslim religions want to spread through our country. By force or by overpopulation, their intention is to impose rule worldwide. Sounds tyrannical to me.

Soapbox aside, my God is the creator of Heaven and Earth. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He did die on the cross to save ALL of us. He will win. So my encouragement to you is to read, study, pray, help your fellow christian, and reach those that are lost. All the media, politics, music, entertainment, business, industry, literature, are all intended for the glorification of my God. He would not have allowed us to develop the ability to manipulate such things if He did not intend for us to use it. Start getting involved in those arenas and we may see changes sooner than expected. After all, they are already His. We simply need to take advantage of their use to praise and worship Him. I rejoice because my God is in control and I know he loves me. I know what is going to happen. I am just not prepared to give up now.

Look out, here it comes....

I can't believe this moment is finally here. I have now become a part of the technology age! WOW! I am thankful this new tech era doesn't involve VCR's...still can't program one of those. Yet I will now input my few cents into this "new-to-me" blogging world.

There is a method to the ensuing mayhem that is to be this blog. If you notice the title, it includes the scrambled thoughts sloshing through my head. Those thoughts should pour out into these three categories:
My Life: includes the gracious life God has presented me, the exploits of my loving family, and those friends I have been blessed with

My Loves: that large chunk of desires, realized and unrealized dreams/goals, and passions that God has placed in my heart

My Soapbox: LOOK OUT! This one could get ugly...unless you agree with me...
I guarantee thought provoking analysis of current events, theories to correct injustice, moral and ethical idealism designed to............ok, nevermind....it's simply things I want to say or gripe about.

No matter what, I hope you enjoy these blogs. If they do somehow make a positive difference in this world, then Praise God! Just remember to be thankful for everything you have!

living in grace....
